GTPase modes modeled

چکیده

SNX1 chooses its home via two membrane-binding domains. One targeting domain is the PX domain, which is known to bind to the endosomal phosphoinositide, PI3P. The second is a BAR domain, which was shown to target a fly protein to highly curved membranes and tubulate them. Cullen’s group shows that these domains combine to put mammalian SNX1 on the tubular portion of early endosomes (which also have less curved vesicular domains). This placement was needed to recycle a mannose-6-phosphate receptor from endosomes to the TGN. The cargo is probably selected by the retromer complex, which associates with SNX1. TGN localization (top) of a receptor (green) is lost when SNX1 (blue) is missing (bottom). C U LL EN / EL SE VI ER

Down regulation of GTPase regulator associated with the focal adhesion kinase (GRAF) gene expression in patients with acute myeloblastic leukemia

Introduction: GTPase regulator associated with focal adhesion kinase (GRAF) is a recently identified GTPase activating protein that has the tumor suppressor properties. However, the expression level of GRAF in leukemia had received less attention. The main purpose of this research was the evaluating of the expression level of GRAF in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Materials and met...

Control of the G-protein cascade dynamics by GDP dissociation inhibitors.

A network of the Rho family GTPases, which cycle between inactive GDP-bound and active GTP-bound states, controls key cellular processes, including proliferation and migration. Activating and deactivating GTPase transitions are controlled by guanine nucleotide exchange factors (GEFs), GTPase activating proteins (GAPs) and GDP dissociation inhibitors (GDIs) that sequester GTPases from the membra...

Conductivity Coefficient Modeling in Degenerate and Non-Degenerate Modes on GNSs

Carbon nanoscrolls (CNSs) with tubular structure similar to the open multiwall carbonnanotube have been of hot debate during recent years. Due to its unique property, Graphene Nanoscroll (GNS) have attracted many research groups’ attention and have been used by them. They specially studied on energy storage devices such as batteries and super capacitors. These devices can be schematically...

Studying the Effect of Horizontal Drains on Stability of Heterogeneous and Homogeneous Earth Dams during Rapid Drawdown Condition

One of the main concerns to design earth dam is the stability of the upstream slope of the earth dam in phase of rapid drawdown. Confined pore water pressure reduces the effective stress in this mode, so possibility of the instability and slippage will be increased. The main goal of this research is to investigate changes in the pore water pressure by using horizontal drains in upstream slope o...

Computational modeling reveals how interplay between components of a GTPase-cycle module regulates signal transduction.

Heterotrimeric G protein signaling is regulated by signaling modules composed of heterotrimeric G proteins, active G protein-coupled receptors (Rs), which activate G proteins, and GTPase-activating proteins (GAPs), which deactivate G proteins. We term these modules GTPase-cycle modules. The local concentrations of these proteins are spatially regulated between plasma membrane microdomains and b...
